Tom Wilson
Indigenous Artist Tom Wilson is a Canadian cultural icon from Hamilton, Ontario, who is well known for his musical work that has been recorded by and with Sarah McLachlan, Jason Isabelle, City and Colour, Colin James, The Rankin Family & Lucinda Williams to name a few, as well as his own Juno award winning bands.

Wilson has more recently been recognized for his literary endeavours thanks to the critical and commercial success of his best selling 2017 memoir "Beautiful Scars".

Wilson has been developing his visual art practice over the past two decades. His paintings arise from the same creative journey as did Wilson's autobiography. Wilson created both projects in response to his discovery at age 53 that he had been adopted, and that he is Mohawk.

This art forms an integral part of Wilson's captivating story of his re-interpretation of his own identity.
