After retiring from farming in 2002, Joe took up stained glass as a hobby.

His glass supplier offered an intensive beginners glass fusing course and he was hooked on the new medium.

​

Since then he has taken various specialty courses from instructors in Canada, the US ,Ireland and of course Sheridan College.

​

Joe finds working with glass to be both meditative and therapeutic.Selecting the colours, positioning the pieces and revealing  the final product from the kiln is still a magical experience.

​

He now lives in Jordan Station surrounded by orchards, vineyards and grow ops
